Situated in Somerset, Bath is a fascinating cultural melting pot. It’s a quaint town teeming with life, with its markets and Georgian architecture calling back to a simpler era.
I love the city of Bath. Its Roman baths are a well-known selling point, although there’s far more to this region than meets the eye. Vast green spaces surround the city, with farmland and nature trails abound.
Bath’s busy nightlife scene makes it attractive to students and party animals of all backgrounds. However, it also boasts a series of respected schools and lovely homes, perfect for young families and retired couples. Along with its conveniences and features, Bath is also a financially sound place to move.
Why is Bath an excellent place to move to?
Bath is unique in the country. It’s actually the strongest-performing property market in the UK right now in terms of demand, something I feel some pride in. It’s thoroughly deserved.
The biggest attraction, and what I suspect is driving the house price stability, comes from Londoners. During the COVID lockdowns and subsequent mass exodus from the cities, Bath was the number one target.
‘Why?’, I hear you ask. In short, Bath has something for everyone.
I’ve mentioned this before, but you’ll find bustling city life next to huge agricultural areas and natural heritage spots. The city offers desirable places to downsize, while the local large open spaces also bring plenty of room.
The wave of confidence is somewhat overwhelming. While Bath has also been hit by the nationwide market dip, it’s outperformed almost everywhere else. That’s led to strong house prices, with current owners enjoying a massive boost. It’s this confidence in and attraction to Bath that makes it an amazing place to live. That’s why I couldn’t recommend moving here enough.
