GB Home Surveys isn’t a price comparison site. We’re an independent company offering our trusted chartered surveying services to potential buyers throughout the West Midlands, South-West and South Wales (and rapidly expanding to new areas, too).
Price comparison websites compare different services on the merit of price alone.
Here at GB Home Surveys, we offer competitive rates and a free Quote Calculator for 100% transparency. However, our primary focus is quality. We’ll always give you a comprehensive overview of any property, with detailed reports and friendly surveyors for you to fire your questions at.

GB Home Surveys isn’t a comparison site
GB Home Surveys is a team of chartered surveyors with several offices. Although we’re spread out through the South-West, West Midlands and South Wales, we very much operate as one unit.
We aren’t a comparison site. You can get in touch with any of our offices or chartered surveyors individually if you like. However, all our services are carried out by our very own in-house, qualified staff. This ensures you always get top-quality, reliable service.
One of our primary features is a Quote Calculator for Valuations and Home Survey Levels 2 and 3. These provide you with an obligation-free quote without the need to leave your personal information. We’ll honour that quote (within a reasonable timeframe).

What is GB Home Surveys?
GB Home Surveys is an independent team of chartered surveyors. We inspect properties for signs of common (and uncommon) problems. These could include:
- Damp
- Rot
- Japanese Knotweed
- Asbestos
- Woodworm
- Roof problems
- And many more
A chartered surveyor’s job is to make the buying process easier. By finding these problems (or, in rare cases, coming across a perfect property), you’ll be reassured that your investment is worthwhile. In this way, it’s a bit like insurance, and helps you avoid buyer’s regret. Sometimes, a home survey might even persuade a buyer to back out completely.
You might also receive repair cost estimates. These can help you renegotiate the price with the seller if you choose to. Knowing what you’ll need to spend to bring the property up to an acceptable standard is essential so you don’t face any nasty surprises after moving in. Repair cost estimates are usually an optional extra to your home survey.
Is GB Home Surveys reliable?
GB Home Surveys is registered with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. RICS is the governing body for all chartered surveyors in the UK, with a wide-reaching global influence too. In fact, only RICS-registered surveyors in Britain are allowed to call themselves ‘chartered’. Everyone else is known as just a ‘surveyor’ of some kind.
RICS holds all its members to the highest standards of professionalism, competency and ethics. Everyone who carries out surveys with us is registered with the body, so you can trust them to get the job done – and get it done well.
