Why do I need a home survey?
Buying, selling or moving home is a huge step. In fact, it’s one of the biggest financial commitments you’ll make.
Before closing the deal, you’ll want to know as much as you can about the property you’re interested in or selling, so you can identify and fix any issues, negotiate a fair price, navigate the process with confidence. A home survey will give you that peace of mind when you’re ready to buy.
Getting a survey from us will give you an in-depth understanding of property’s condition and highlight any hidden problems so you know exactly what you’re letting yourself in for once you make an offer. Buying or selling a house is a big decision. We can provide you with all the information you need to make the right choice.
What type of survey do I need?
Our home surveys reduce stress when negotiating and buying, selling or investing in residential properties. All our surveys adhere to the inspection guidelines set out by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the industry’s professional body:
A RICS Home Survey Level Two provides an extensive assessment of the condition of a property, so you can be confident in buying a home. This survey report includes all the information covered by a valuation, along with maintenance advice and guidance on any defects that may adversely affect the property’s value. It’s a full survey suitable for most types of houses, bungalows or flats, including new build properties in reasonable condition and constructed from common building materials.
If you’re interested in an older, larger or more developed property or are planning major works, then a RICS Home Survey Level Three is essential. This level of property survey is the most comprehensive appraisal we offer and gives a better understanding of the value of the home. It provides an in-depth assessment of the construction and structural integrity of a property, along with building surveyor guidance on defects, contingencies, remediation and ongoing maintenance.
Don’t leave things to chance. Adding a drone inspection to your RICS Level 2 or Level 3 Home Survey gives you everything you need to make a fully informed decision. Contact us today to learn more about our drone surveys and book your inspection.
As a homeowner, you want to be sure your property is in top condition, for your comfort and to maintain its value. But, damp problems can often go unnoticed and cause severe damage to your home if left untreated. A damp survey will check your property and give you an accurate assessment of any damp issues in your home. It will identify the cause of any problems and determine the extent of the damage. You can use this information to address them, prevent further damage and protect yourself financially.
